THE ffRENCH CONNECTION is the name under which singer / pianist / songwriter Steve ffrench performs. This is a sound with a variety of formats - from solo musician to seven piece dance band. The ffrench Connection has performed live on radio, television and at established venues in Spain and Gibraltar and in public and private functions from Fuengirola to Chiclana and all points in between.
Steve ffrench is a musician first and foremost, having played across the world in locations well and lesser known. He will play at the drop pf a hat so long as there is an audience to be found and a hat for them to drop something into. He draws on a huge repertoire (estimated between 5 and 10,000 songs) that changes all the time. As well as singing and playing piano, he plays blues harp and guitar (like a two year old prodigy on a bad day). With him you will find bass players (principally Louis Chipolina), percussionists (Arturo Bonich- congas, Francis Pecino or Dave McClelland on drums) guitarists (too many to count), saxophone (the very talented Ken Vaughn among othes), and the very talented Romanian accordionist by the name of Luciano . With a play list that includes blues, folk, Jazz, rock, R&B, funk, reggae, Top 40, swing, soul, Latin and pop and above all a mean BLUES -- THE ffRENCH CONNECTION does it all!
